The Whitney follow-up in 1987 with the singles How Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her debut album. It was, however it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her status as one the world's most well-known performers. Although the film was not very well received, nor did her performance, the music of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You reached the number one spot on both singles and albums charts in the United States for months. It sold 44,000,000 copies. In the same year she had her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group.
