Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing and playing the piano in churches. Her music career started in Atlanta in Spellman College. She was named the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to be the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine came to national notice during the four shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
