Jillian Shennessy (born on November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress, singer that made waves on American television. The show has been highly praised for her outstanding performances on the American television series Law & Order in which she played Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, wherein she portrayed Jordan Cavanaugh the main character for six years. Hennessy showed her talent in independent movies such as Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Hennessy began her acting career alongside her sister, in 1988. They played two call-girls in Dead Ringers. Her Broadway debut was in Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. Then in RoboCop 3 in 1993 she played the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus. The big break came later in the year after she was tapped as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. The three-season run in the role was a hit with the public. Parker is famous for her performances in movies or series, as well as TV shows like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side and The West Wing Angels of America. Parker was honored with a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Emmy Award. Parker was awarded the Tony Award 2001 for Best Actress in the Broadway production Proof.
